Those of you familiar with Confirmit Horizons™ will be well aware of our extensive reporting capabilities. The insights that our customers are able to glean from our existing reporting solutions, such as Instant Analytics, Active Dashboards and the powerhouse that is Confirmit Reportal are extraordinary… but there is always more to be found. And now we’ve made that easier. I'm delighted to announce the latest addition to our reporting family - a new ad-hoc analysis tool, Discovery Analytics.
Discovery Analytics is ideal for data analysts to use to interact with, explore, and visualize data collected from Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Employee, and Market Research programs. Most importantly, we’ve designed it to help businesses answer the burning question “why?” and find the hidden gems that may be lying undiscovered in the dark corners of your data.
Analysis is performed using data added to Confirmit SmartHub™, including any combined sources you may have set up.
There are three analysis views currently available:
- Rating Comparison: View average scores for questions with rating scales, and breakdown by any categorical variable
- Trend Analysis: View rating scale question averages over time
- Key Driver Analysis: categorize which are the key attributes impacting any selected KPI (e.g. NPS®, OSAT) using multivariate regression techniques under the hood.

Example of a Rating comparison analysis view
On every view, there is support for adding quick filters, allowing you to easily search and select categories from the survey questions to focus on specific segments of the data. Although the focus is on generating highly visual output, a table view is also accessible from the toolbar.

Easily create filters in your analysis
Discovery Analytics includes many features designed to assist with the exploratory nature of performing analysis. Capabilities such as undo/redo, the ability to temporarily suppress filters and the ability to flow between different analysis views allow the user to easily follow interesting paths and return back to their original start point.

Clicking within the chart allows users to easily switch between analysis types
You can save collections of interesting views within a project to return to later or export to Excel. And you’ll also shortly be able to incorporate analysis views that you have saved into Reportal and Active Dashboards to share with end users.
I hope you enjoy these exciting new capabilities that will help you to seek out those gems buried in your data!
