I’ll be honest. I love the ACE Awards. In the six years I’ve been running the program it really has been brilliant to work with clients to help share their stories. The sophisticated programs submitted has increased dramatically, and I’m very aware that the judges’ job gets harder and harder every year. They can handle it though.

If you’ve not entered before and are wondering why you should spend the time and effort on it, here are some things to consider.

Prove the value you deliver. CX is becoming more recognized as a discipline in its own right, and expectations are increasing – especially from Executive teams. A Confirmit ACE Award is a great way to prove that what you’re doing is having an impact. It gives you a good chance to step back, identify the actions you’ve taken based on your program and tie some real business results to them. Clients like Virgin Money and Philadelphia Insurance share their award wins in annual reports to demonstrate the value in what they do.

Stand out from the crowd! Surveys are everywhere! But true Voice of the Customer programs that drive business change and improve customer experiences are still something very special. The customer experience is critical to retaining customers and generating great word of mouth - so make sure your customers know you’re listening and prove that you’re taking action by being recognized for it.

Recognize your teams (and have cake!) Great customer experiences are driven by people across your organization who help to take business change viral. Winning an award is a wonderful affirmation of the teamwork that has to take place to succeed. Last year, one of our clients in the US rewarded their team with a Movie Day to celebrate their win, while a UK client had a party with a special ACE Awards cake!
