An exciting start to 2019! Confirmit has been named a Finalist in the Business Intelligence category in the 13th annual Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service! Like most people, we love an award so we’re delighted to be on the shortlist, particularly when there were 2,700 nominations across all the categories.

While we wait for the result, it’s worth us considering the path that we have taken that sees us being a finalist in a Business Intelligence (BI) award. Clearly Confirmit’s history is rooted firmly in the worlds of Market Research (MR) and Customer Experience (CX). I think it’s a testament to the evolution of those markets that sees us in the realms of BI.

Gartner defines BI as “an umbrella term that includes the applications, infrastructure and tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance.”

Well, access to and analysis of information is exactly what both MR and CX are about. Not to mention Voice of the Employee, for that matter. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a shift from companies focusing on collecting data, to one in which, while data collection is still critical, the emphasis is on connecting data and really using it.

Confirmit is dedicated to democratizing insight – putting it in the hands of people who can use it to maximize impact and ROI. Most importantly, it enables people to make better decisions. The latest capabilities of Confirmit Horizons are focused on doing just that – and there will be much more to come in 2019. No spoilers at this stage, but let’s say that we’ll be taking measurement to a new level so there’ll be no excuse for not taking action!

The final results will be revealed on Friday, February 22 and we’re keeping our fingers firmly crossed for a good result (some would say the right result, but of course, we’re too modest…)!
