Today marks the end of my third week since joining the marketing department at Confirmit and I’ve been asked to share my thoughts on my time here so far! Thankfully it’s been a pretty positive experience, which isn’t always the case when starting a new job. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming and you can find yourself chucked in the deep end. Other times you can get lucky and the on-boarding process can be seen as a chance to get to know the business as a whole and understand your place in the bigger picture. Luckily for me, it’s been the latter!

As a novice to the Voice of the Customer/Employee and Market Research worlds, I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to sit with some pretty knowledgeable people and pick their brains on everything from CX programs to text analytics. This is one of the most noticeable things about Confirmit, everyone is happy to share what they know – and they know their stuff! So, I’d say I’m in pretty good hands and hopefully soon I will have a brain crammed full of CX and MR knowledge too.

Joining a company that helps clients deliver successful customer and employee experiences no doubt reflects in Confirmit’s culture – you have to practice what you preach, right? The clients are at the forefront of everyone’s mind, with care being taken to establish solid relationships - some clients have been with Confirmit for over 10 years! The company also allows them to directly influence the products’ journey by listening to their feedback, good and bad.

You can also tell that Confirmit care about making it a decent, and dare I say, enjoyable place to work. Right from the interview process, I knew that it would be a little different here. They weren’t just trying to learn about my skills, they were trying to get to know me. I didn’t just meet my potential manager, I ended up meeting others from the marketing department and even a couple of the exec team. I was asked everything from ‘what do you enjoy working on?’ to ‘what’s your favourite drink?’ (Espresso martinis, FYI). It was important for them to find the right fit, not just for them, but for me too. A happy employee does tend to mean happy clients after all.

So, all in all it’s been a successful first few weeks, I’ve not only learned a lot but I’m experiencing new challenges and taking on things that I haven’t done before which is all very exciting. And I’ve also eaten a lot of biscuits (they really like their biscuits here). With such a positive start, I’m sure my time here at Confirmit is going to be good.
