It’s just over a week since we announced Confirmit’s acquisition of CustomerSat, and it’s been wonderful to see the level of enthusiasm from our customers, the press, and the broader market. Industry analysts, as well, have viewed the acquisition as a positive move that will benefit everyone involved. Within both businesses, we knew from our careful and extensive work prior to the deal that this would be a positive development for our businesses, our staff and our customers. I’m pleased to see those sentiments widely reflected across our industry.
Both Confirmit and CustomerSat have been leading players in the Voice of the Customer (VoC) market for years, and by bringing together our technologies, services and stellar workforces, we’re now able to move forward with our plans and innovate much more quickly than we could have done as separate businesses. We took the decision early on to be a player that drives the market, rather than one that sits and watches its evolution, and this move is a clear reflection of that strategy.
One of the main questions I’ve been asked is about the future of our technology. Confirmit has a history of merging successfully with businesses that have developed outstanding technology products (Pulse Train and Techneos), and strengthening our offerings as a result of the integration of these technologies, and this will be the case with CustomerSat as well. As we have done before with great success, our product and development experts will ensure that our customers get the best of both worlds. That is, the very best of the technology from both Confirmit Horizons and CustomerSat. It’s a strategy that we are accustomed to executing – and will do so again with great success.
Of course, transitions like this don’t happen overnight, but already I’m seeing a huge amount of interaction between the teams from each part of the organization. We have the strongest R&D, services and support experts in the industry, and by bringing them together, our customers will quickly find that the whole really is worth even more than the sum of its (already excellent) parts!
The VoC market is evolving rapidly, and Confirmit is at the forefront of that evolution. This is one of the most exciting times in Confirmit’s history, and I’m confident and determined that our customers, and our employees, will benefit from this merger. Our customers will have even greater products and services, our teams will have new opportunities, and the industry will take one big step forward into true maturity.
