Confirmit Scripting Course (Three Days)

Did you know that you can validate respondent answers, calculate points, create advanced filters, find time spent, set up your own error messages, pre-populate answers to questions, and send automatic e-mails from within a survey? This, and more, is possible with the use of J-scripting in Confirmit. Confirmit Training Academy offers Confirmit Scripting Course as a one-day or three-day course.

Scripting enables you to:
  • Create advanced filters based on answer(s) to one or more questions.
  • Build complex logics/routing in the survey.
  • Select a random answer, from those picked by the respondent, for later use in the survey.
  • Set time stamps, keeping track of time spent on different sections of the survey.
  • Execute complex calculations based on one or several answers to one or several questions
You also have great flexibility when it comes to checking (validating) the respondent’s answers (e.g.: input on open-text answers such as e-mail addresses, post codes, membership numbers, and dates). It is also possible to check whether several numbers entered by the respondent make sense (e.g.: totals > 100% or time periods > 24 hours).
With scripting you can execute mathematical calculations (on the fly), storing the answers in hidden questions, which you can use again in survey logics and Reporting. You can also pre-select answers to any question, letting the respondent alter them if he/she wishes.
Scripting Example:
Your company needs to hire a new employee in a certain position. You create an open survey in which you map the candidate’s knowledge/experience in areas you find critical to this job. A hyperlink on your company’s Web site links curious candidates to this survey. With the help of scripting you can give each respondent points based on his/her answers, and store the score in a hidden question. This way you will have a score/index for each candidate, indicating suitability for the position. Candidates can also be rated/ranked according to score.
Scripting gives you endless possibilities. Some basic knowledge is recommended, but you do not need to be a programmer. Prior course participants have communicated exceptionally positive feedback.
Thorough documentation is distributed to course participants.
Duration: Three days.
Recommended Course Prerequisite(s): Confirmit Standard Course and use of Confirmit for 1 month or completed 1–2 projects.
