What's new in Confirmit Reportal
Delivering insight to executives worldwide, Confirmit Reportal is the ultimate platform for report creation and distribution through online portals or offline report formats (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Adobe PDF).
Confirmit Reportal is designed to deliver powerful and interactive insight with drill down and alert capabilities directly to executives' desktops. And with report automation powered by Confirmit Reportal, professional users can create a report definition and deliver thousands of unique and interactive report accesses.
Confirmit 12 includes several new features and enhancements, supports reporting on insight from any survey data source, and also comes with the all new Developer Interface for building advanced custom report portals.
Develop advanced custom report portals
Confirmit 12 introduces for the first time a script interface for developers, enabling advanced Confirmit users with development experience to go beyond the standard functionality in Confirmit Reportal and develop advanced custom report portals.
With various building blocks and functions in the toolkit, developers can create report interfaces enabling non-Confirmit users, for example executives, to e.g.:
- select the survey/questions that are to be reported on
- select the filters that are to be applied
- select which cross-breaks are to be performed and/or
- apply settings to the tables and charts
Reporting interfaces set up in the Developer Interface are highly customizable, both regarding the look and feel and the types of controls that can be made available for the end users.
Confirmit 12 includes a beta version of script editing with code completion across all main scripting areas. The feature will suggest functions/methods/properties, indent script areas and color code various parts of a script. Script lines are numbered and validation errors refer to the applicable script line.
As this is beta feature, please contact Confirmit support to get the feature activated on a company level. Once activated, users will be able to download and run this beta feature/application.
Deliver insight from any source
New in Confirmit 12, you can use Confirmit Reportal to deliver insight on survey data collected by other means, for example through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) or paper/scan. Survey data from any source can be imported to Confirmit Data Central and from there imported to Confirmit (with Confirmit XML survey definition and response data import using the new Data Processing engine), such that it is available in Confirmit Reportal.
The data source can also be benchmark or target data, for example for GAP analysis in Confirmit Reportal.
Realize increased scale, more visualization and closed loop feedback
Confirmit 12 includes the following new functionality and enhancements:
- Gauges as new chart type.
- Enhanced reporting on individual responses including full support for "Closed loop feedback" applications.
- Enhanced hierarchy handling enabling faster setup and maintenance of hierarchy in the Database Designer.
- Enhanced scalability in Confirmit Reportal with BitStream indexing to support fast queries on response records. Indexing on single, multi or date variables in BitStream files to allow fast retrieval of results when reporting with filters on truly large quantities of responses (10s of millions of records). Also includes support for multiple BitStream servers.
